How do you create something on the back end in a government agency that can sift through the massive amounts of information provided through multiple sources? Transit agencies could use the help of some data scientists.
Bond HA corollary to this is do we want to focus on bringing transit to those people or bringing those people to transit? In other words, should we study where people live and work and figure out how to connect them or should we entice people to move closer to their jobs or to established transit corridors? Which is most effective at building strong communities? And how can we use real data and solid methodologies to determine this, and to determine the impact on accessibility of projects focusing on either of these things?
